minimum
All we're asking for is the bare minimum
A mobile application that caters to users who face challenges in remembering and/or staying motivated to track their water, food, and exercise progress, ultimately enabling them to form healthier habits. Our approach is centered around simplifying the tracking process, requiring minimal effort from the users, and delivering a seamless and intuitive experience.

problem
Individuals are failing to meet their basic needs
More specifically, a 2023 survey of 2,000 adults in the United States revealed concerning statistics regarding water and food consumption habits. The study indicated that 36% of respondents frequently forget to drink enough water, while an alarming 39% reported forgetting to eat regularly. These findings highlight the need for a mobile application that addresses these challenges, helping users stay mindful of their water intake, food consumption, and overall progress towards healthier habits. By simplifying the tracking process and providing gentle reminders, our application aims to empower individuals to form sustainable and mindful habits effortlessly.
solution
Create a non-intimidating way to remind people to take care of themselves through minimum effort

Interview
Insights
I conducted interviews with five individuals who were selected based on a Google form. The goal of these interviews was to gain insight and understanding of the target audience's needs and preferences for a simplistic approach to tracking water, food, and exercise progress. With this information, I can create a mobile application that requires minimal effort to help users create healthier habits.

process
How do I motivate the unmotivated?
During the research phase of my project, I conducted a thorough analysis of our target users' needs and preferences, particularly regarding their pain points and motivational factors. This analysis provided me with valuable insights that would later be used to inform my design decisions.
benchmarks
In my analysis, I compared and contrasted two apps with a particular focus on identifying design decisions that were effective in achieving their goals. This involved reviewing the user flows, interactions, and visual design of the apps, as well as their overall user experience.

prototype
A minimalistic application that enables users to better themselves on their own terms
Throughout the design process for this project, I created numerous variations of wireframes and designs, each time refining and simplifying the user flows to make the user journey more intuitive and engaging.
My goal was to create a minimalist yet effective design that enabled users to improve their lifestyle without overwhelming them with complex features and functionalities. This involved identifying the essential elements and features and prioritizing them in the design.
To validate the design and gather user feedback, I conducted several hallway testing sessions with potential users. These sessions provided valuable insights that I incorporated into the design to make it more user-centric and effective.
With these insights, I completed the final version of the minimum and created a mobile application that enables users to track their water, food, and exercise progress with minimal effort, making it easier to develop healthier habits and lifestyle.
